Marius Vazeilles’ Book Cover EN FR EN The genesis of the book cover dedicated to Marius Vazeilles was born from a dream, a vision of an elegant man, adorned with a hat, moving gracefully through the forests of Corrèze. However, it is important to note that this image was not initially intended to represent Marius. When I captured it, I did not know it would become the face of the work. The photo session, in the heart of raw nature, was a deliberate exploration of a character from another era, walking through woods steeped in history. Every detail, from the simple hat to the natural light, was an attempt to preserve the essence of the initial dream—an homage to those who walked before us, finding and constructing their philosophy in communion with nature. The photo, though originally not meant for the book, resonated uniquely with the essence of Marius Vazeilles’ work. The decision to include it as the cover came naturally. Aerochrome employs infrared film that captures wavelengths invisible to the human eye, especially in the infrared part of the spectrum. In the context of artistic photography, this results in astonishing outcomes, with colors often altered and tones that evoke a different, almost magical reality. Aerochrome adds an artistic and symbolic dimension to the image, transcending ordinary reality to create a unique atmosphere. The specific tones of aérochrome were used to emphasize the depth and mood of the scene, creating an ambiance that goes beyond mere photographic representation. FR La genèse de la couverture du livre consacré à Marius Vazeilles est née d’un rêve, d’une vision d’un homme élégant, coiffé d’un chapeau, se déplaçant avec grâce dans la forêt corrézienne. Cependant, il est important de noter que cette image n’était pas initialement destinée à représenter Marius. Lorsque je l’ai capturée, je ne savais pas qu’elle deviendrait le visage de l’ouvrage. La séance photo, au cœur de la nature brute, était une exploration délibérée d’un personnage d’une autre époque, marchant dans les bois empreints d’histoire. Chaque détail, du chapeau simple à la lumière naturelle, était une tentative de préserver l’essence du rêve initial, un hommage à ceux qui ont marché avant nous, trouvant et construisant leur philosophie en communion avec la nature. La photo, bien qu’originellement non destinée au livre, a résonné de manière singulière avec l’essence de l’ouvrage sur Marius Vazeilles.  La décision de l’inclure en tant que couverture s’est imposée naturellement. L’aérochrome utilise un film infrarouge qui capte des longueurs d’onde invisibles à l’œil humain, notamment dans la partie infrarouge du spectre. Dans le contexte de la photographie artistique, cela se traduit par des résultats étonnants, avec des couleurs souvent altérées et des tonalités qui évoquent une réalité différente, presque magique. L’aérochrome ajoute une dimension artistique et symbolique à l’image, transcendant la réalité ordinaire pour créer une atmosphère unique. Les tonalités spécifiques de l’aérochrome ont été utilisées pour accentuer la profondeur et l’atmosphère de la scène, créant ainsi une ambiance qui va au-delà de la simple représentation photographique.
